Coach David Tezanos is a volunteer soccer coach with nearly six years of coaching experience and a professional background in marketing and advertising. Proud of his Cuban heritage, he was raised with the values of hard work, integrity, family, and community. Although American football consumed most of his life, he quickly found success in soccer after picking up his first soccer ball at the tender age of 40 when his daughter fell in love with the game.

Soccer may have come later in life, but leadership did not, Coach Tezanos captained every team he ever played on, proving that leadership is less about the sport you play and more about how you show up. Inspired by his own children, Coach Tezanos founded Sandlot Soccer to remove barriers and expand access to the beautiful game. Known for being the first to arrive and the last to leave, he is passionate about helping young players discover their unique strengths "superpowers" both on and off the field. Through Sandlot Soccer, he has found his true calling: helping children build confidence, character, resilience, and a lifelong love of sports. No one is more proud to wear the "S" on his chest.

Coach Yves Dalencourt is a dedicated father, mentor, and passionate soccer coach. Originally from Haiti, he placed a strong emphasis on academics, which helped him earn multiple walk-on scholarship opportunities throughout his soccer journey. He played collegiate soccer at both Miami Dade College and Florida Atlantic University and also competed in a semi-professional Haitian league in Miami. Coach Yves previously worked with Grassroots youth soccer programs in Virginia and now brings his experience, leadership, and love for the game to Sandlot Soccer. His passion for soccer and commitment to helping young players grow both on and off the field make him a vital part of the Sandlot mission.

Rocky “Coach ROC” Myers is a multi-sport coach with more than 10 years of experience coaching youth athletes throughout Palm Beach County. Originally from Jamaica, and not quite fit enough for the island's famous bobsled team, Coach Roc turned his attention to soccer instead, a decision that sparked a lifelong passion for sports and youth development. A proud father of two very talented scholar-athletes, Coach ROC believes that sports provide some of life's greatest lessons. His coaching experience spans soccer, baseball, and basketball, allowing him to help young athletes develop confidence, discipline, teamwork, and character both on and off the field.

Guided by his belief that "hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard," Coach ROC challenges every player to give their best effort, embrace adversity, and never stop improving. His positive energy, leadership, and commitment to youth development make him a perfect fit to our Sandlot.

Coach Rolf n Carson.jpg

Coach Rolf and Coach Carson represent two generations united by a shared passion for soccer and a love of teaching the beautiful game. Originally from Germany, Coach Rolf fell in love with soccer at the age of four and spent the next 41 years playing competitively throughout Germany, Spain, and England. His coaching journey began at just 13 years old, and more than six decades later, he continues to share his knowledge and enthusiasm for the sport. Following in his grandfather's footsteps,

Coach Carson began coaching alongside Coach Rolf three years ago, helping soccer’s youngest players learn the game. Since then, he has continued to develop his understanding of soccer and recently became a certified referee after completing official referee training. Together, they enjoy spending time on the field, mentoring young athletes, and helping the next generation learn, grow, and develop a lifelong love for soccer. Their commitment to teaching, sportsmanship, and family makes them a unique and valued part of what we're building at Sandlot Soccer.
